How do you make an indoor play centre feel like an adventure before the children even start playing? For Meridian Mayhem in Peacehaven, the answer was to carry its colourful identity throughout the venue.
The Sussex Sign Company manufactured and installed a mix of exterior signage, aluminium composite panels, an illuminated logo sign and large-scale wall graphics. Each element had a different job, but together they help make Meridian Mayhem recognisable wherever families are in the centre.
Exterior signage, reception and café graphics
We produced business signs made from aluminium composite for the outside of the building, along with panels for the reception and café areas. The Food & Drink Zone counter graphic brings the centre’s bold colours into an area where families can pause between play sessions.
A Neon Plus sign that draws the eye
A 1,500 mm square Neon Plus illuminated sign gives the Meridian Mayhem logo a striking presence inside the venue. Its pink and blue glow picks out the lettering and orbit-inspired artwork against the dark wall, creating a memorable feature in its own right. It’s a good example of how illuminated signage can become part of a venue’s interior.
A Brick Wrap across the main play area
The biggest graphic in the project is the Brick Wrap on the main play-area wall. Spanning a substantial part of the space, it brings Meridian Mayhem’s colours, logo and energetic artwork into the heart of the venue. It turns a large wall into part of the experience children and families have come to enjoy.
Latitude and Longitude: two rooms with a local connection
For the Latitude Room and Longitude Room, we installed digitally printed wallpaper featuring globe artwork, the Meridian Mayhem logo and colourful space-inspired graphics. The room names are a playful nod to the Meridian connection, giving each space its own identity while keeping it part of the wider theme.
From the large Brick Wrap to the two playrooms, these wall graphics show how different areas can share one identity without looking identical.
This project shows what can happen when signage is considered across a whole venue. From the signs outside to the café counter, illuminated logo and playroom walls, every surface offers another opportunity to bring the brand to life.
