| Working with Design Equation we were given just 3 weeks to design and produce stunning new signage for the Gatwick Headquarters of Excel Airways. The brief was for the signage to be visually impressive yet practical, hardwearing and cost effective. It was decided to use Powder Coated aluminium letters fixed to the wall using brass locaters. The Powder Coated Aluminium was deemed to be the most effective material to use which would undoubtedly last for many years. A free standing monolith was also part of the brief and Design Equation wanted this to be almost 3 metres in height by 1 meter wide. The top of the monolith representing the tail fin of an aeroplane. Once the designs were agreed we only had two weeks to manufacture and fit the signage as the building was being opened by the President of Iceland. The work was completed 3 days prior to the deadline and you can see how it looks in the photos below. Design Equations can be contacted on 01293 820794. |
